Yesenia has fond memories of her father driving her and siblings around Chicago when she was young. She would marvel at the skyscrapers and incredible buildings. Once she knew that architects were the ones who designed those buildings, she knew that architecture was what she wanted to pursue. When asked what her favorite work of architecture is she answered with Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater. The integration of the surrounding landscape into the design fascinates her. Despite all the current trends in architecture, the beauty and timelessness of this home is undeniable. In addition, she also enjoys memorials, as they can honor history and offer great learning opportunities for younger generations as well as assisting in the healing process.
